As a kid there were several books that I loved. Where The Wild Things Are comes to mind. But the book that probably really got me reading was the Reader’s Digest version of Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. It’s a short enough book that it may not have been digested at all, but the images it put into my head had me dreaming of flying for a long time after. Also, he was the rebel rule breaker that I could never really be and I loved living vicariously through that birds inability to just be like the other normal seagulls.
