The Stravager

The aimless wanderings of my mind

About this Blog

About

To Stravage is to wander aimlessly. This blog is a shot in the dark. It’s the advice you didn’t ask for. The stories you may not wish to hear. From my mind to yours and if you choose, you can reciprocate in the comments.

Who am I and why should you care about what I have to say? I don’t have a good answer for the second part of that question, but who I am is an over the hill, balding, white guy who usually works in the tech industry and who has a beer belly. My wife is Japanese and I have had a relationship with Japanese language and culture since I met her over 35 years ago. I should be better at Japanese after all that time, but so it goes. We love to travel and have started creating some YouTube videos on the topic. We have a 30 year old daughter who is currently living in Japan teaching English to Japanese grade school and middle school students. We have a 17 pound, black and white Havanese dog named Max. He’s a knucklehead and I tell him that multiple times a day. He doesn’t seem to care.
